Azure Advisor

It is a cloud consultant which helps you to use your cloud deployments in an efficient way, such that you can make most of the resources provided. It helps you improve performance, availability, cost-effectiveness and security of your resources by analyzing the configuration of resources used by you and using telemetry.

Following things you can do with Advisor:

You can best recommendations according to your work.
Your resources get improved performance, security, high availability.
Every part of your actions gets a recommendation.

Through the Azure portal, Advisor can be accessed. For selected subscriptions, personalized recommendations are displayed on Advisor dashboard.

Types of recommendation:

Performance - Speed of your application is improved.
Security - Detects harmful threats and sources from which security is in danger.
High Availability - It helps you to extend your needs anytime.
Cost - Reduce the cost by optimising resources.

You get documentation links or inline actions for recommendations. The implementation can be done by clicking an inline action which takes you to ‘guided user journey’. To get a description of a manual implementation of action you need to click on documentation link. Recommendation gets updated on an hourly basis. If you are not interested in taking the recommendation, you can extend it for some time or dismiss it.
