Amazon Cloud Directory

It is user directory. Amazon Cognito user pools is used to add sign-up and sign-in to your mobile app or web application.
When to use? If you need to create custom registration fields and store that metadata in your user directory.
AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory (Enterprise Edition)
Managed Microsoft Active Directory hosted on AWS cloud is provided by AWS directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory(Enterprise Edition).
It provides integration with AWS services as well as functionality offered by Microsoft Active Directory.
When to use? It is a great choice when you have more than 5,000 users and want to set up trust relation between AWS hosted directory and your on-premises directories.
Simple AD
Want an inexpensive Active Directory -compatible service with the common directory features use Simple AD.
When to use? it is cost effective when you have less than 5000 users.
